Narrative:
On approach to day WX was reported to be 110 degrees overcast, 6 mi visibility, rain showers with wind shears reported by landing aircraft. The ATIS reported low level wind shear reported OTS. The wind was 1919 gusts 29 KTS. At approximately 3 mi out the tower reported runway 18 visibility dropping rapidly, now 1 mi heavy rain. At approximately 25-30' with a 25 degree right crab 3/4 rudder (right) we encountered a 25 KT wind shear from the right and hit an extreme amount of rain. The aircraft drifted left as we touched down, with crab still in. The aircraft hydroplaned and we lost sight of the runway due to rain. Rain removal system was on, but no help at all. As the aircraft returned to the centerline the visibility started back up. After parking I did a walk-around and noticed grass around the left main gear and brakes. I advised the F/east to write it up and I called day tower who inspected the runway. Later they reported we left the runway with the left main gear for 700' and broke 2 runway light. We both then filed reports.

Title: ACR HVT RWY EXCURSION LNDG IN HEAVY RAIN AND CROSSWIND.
Narrative: ON APCH TO DAY WX WAS RPTED TO BE 110 DEGS OVCST, 6 MI VISIBILITY, RAIN SHOWERS WITH WIND SHEARS RPTED BY LNDG ACFT. THE ATIS RPTED LOW LEVEL WIND SHEAR RPTED OTS. THE WIND WAS 1919 GUSTS 29 KTS. AT APPROX 3 MI OUT THE TWR RPTED RWY 18 VISIBILITY DROPPING RAPIDLY, NOW 1 MI HEAVY RAIN. AT APPROX 25-30' WITH A 25 DEG RIGHT CRAB 3/4 RUDDER (RIGHT) WE ENCOUNTERED A 25 KT WIND SHEAR FROM THE RIGHT AND HIT AN EXTREME AMOUNT OF RAIN. THE ACFT DRIFTED LEFT AS WE TOUCHED DOWN, WITH CRAB STILL IN. THE ACFT HYDROPLANED AND WE LOST SIGHT OF THE RWY DUE TO RAIN. RAIN REMOVAL SYS WAS ON, BUT NO HELP AT ALL. AS THE ACFT RETURNED TO THE CENTERLINE THE VISIBILITY STARTED BACK UP. AFTER PARKING I DID A WALK-AROUND AND NOTICED GRASS AROUND THE LEFT MAIN GEAR AND BRAKES. I ADVISED THE F/E TO WRITE IT UP AND I CALLED DAY TWR WHO INSPECTED THE RWY. LATER THEY RPTED WE LEFT THE RWY WITH THE LEFT MAIN GEAR FOR 700' AND BROKE 2 RWY LIGHT. WE BOTH THEN FILED RPTS.
