Narrative:
After leaving dallas love on the dallas 7 departure texarkana transition, we were climbing through 15000' when the #4 fire warning illuminated. I pulled the #4 power lever back and the light remained on. I then shut down #4 engine and pulled the fire handle. The light remained on. I then fired the first fire bottle and the light went out. The itt was indicating about 100 degrees indicating there was no fire, so I advised ZFW of our situation and asked for preferential handling back to dallas love. Center advised us to maintain our heading and altitude and said there was an small aircraft several mi north of us at 11000' and that she would get us headed back to love when we were clear. At that time the fire warning illuminated again. I fired the remaining bottle and the light went out again. I advised center and she still would not get us turned back. The light once again illuminated. At that time I declared an emergency and asked about our traffic ( which there was no conflict at all) and began a turn to the south. I asked for all NOTAMS at greenville majors airport and advised center that we would land there. The landing was uneventful and after the emergency equipment looked us over and said there was no apparent fire we cleared the runway. It turned out be a false indication; apparently the fired loop had malfunctioned. Our mechanic made all necessary repairs and we put the aircraft back in service.

Title: CPR PLT DECLARES AN EMERGENCY TO GET ATC TO ACT ON HIS REQUEST FOR A RETURN LAND AFTER INFLT ENGINE SHUTDOWN DUE TO FIRE WARNING.
Narrative: AFTER LEAVING DALLAS LOVE ON THE DALLAS 7 DEP TEXARKANA TRANSITION, WE WERE CLBING THROUGH 15000' WHEN THE #4 FIRE WARNING ILLUMINATED. I PULLED THE #4 PWR LEVER BACK AND THE LIGHT REMAINED ON. I THEN SHUT DOWN #4 ENG AND PULLED THE FIRE HANDLE. THE LIGHT REMAINED ON. I THEN FIRED THE FIRST FIRE BOTTLE AND THE LIGHT WENT OUT. THE ITT WAS INDICATING ABOUT 100 DEGS INDICATING THERE WAS NO FIRE, SO I ADVISED ZFW OF OUR SITUATION AND ASKED FOR PREFERENTIAL HANDLING BACK TO DALLAS LOVE. CENTER ADVISED US TO MAINTAIN OUR HDG AND ALT AND SAID THERE WAS AN SMA SEVERAL MI N OF US AT 11000' AND THAT SHE WOULD GET US HEADED BACK TO LOVE WHEN WE WERE CLR. AT THAT TIME I DECLARED AN EMER AND ASKED ABOUT OUR TFC ( WHICH THERE WAS NO CONFLICT AT ALL) AND BEGAN A TURN TO THE S. I ASKED FOR ALL NOTAMS AT GREENVILLE MAJORS ARPT AND ADVISED CENTER THAT WE WOULD LAND THERE. THE LNDG WAS UNEVENTFUL AND AFTER THE EMER EQUIP LOOKED US OVER AND SAID THERE WAS NO APPARENT FIRE WE CLRED THE RWY. IT TURNED OUT BE A FALSE INDICATION; APPARENTLY THE FIRED LOOP HAD MALFUNCTIONED. OUR MECH MADE ALL NECESSARY REPAIRS AND WE PUT THE ACFT BACK IN SVC.
