Narrative:
FL360 is the bottom of [other center] sector 45; FL350 and below is [other center] sector 47. These 2 sectors are often combined. [Reporters center] has control for descent from [other center]; but point out is required to [other center] sector 47 if 45 and 47 are split. [Other center] sector 45 and 47 were split. OJT in progress at the d-side. Aircraft X at FL360 westbound in [other center] 45 airspace getting a bad ride; lower was better. Aircraft requested lower and r-side descended aircraft to FL340. No point out was made to [other center] 47. We were not aware of this event until 4 hours later. I do not recall what was happening at the time other than listening to the replay.I think we could use the draw function to note on the scope when 45 is open.
