Narrative:

Ferry flight from buf to pit in an medium large transport. We experienced an aft turbine failure at approximately 10000'. We heard a bang and experienced a drop in EPR to 0 while N1, N2 engine temperature, oil temperature and oil pressure indicated within limits with the throttle at idle. Since the engine still gave us good hydraulics and electrics with no fire indication, we did not shut it down. We were talking with cle. Declared an emergency, switched to buf approach and landed uneventfully. No injuries occurred. Rescue equipment was standing by. The captain and I were the only ones on board.
