Narrative:
I was cleared to land. Conditions were windy; and I handled the approach for landing from the right seat. My approach was faster than what it should have been. The aircraft then landed further down the runway than expected. Upon touchdown I lost control of the aircraft and could not get the plane stopped in time. The aircraft veered off of the runway shortly after striking into a runway light.
