Narrative:
During a training flight; in preparation for a checkride; student applied takeoff power for takeoff. During the takeoff roll; 5 kts below the rotation speed; student lost control of the aircraft; resulting in the aircraft veering off the runway. There were no injuries to personal or damage to the aircraft.
