Narrative:
Climbing out at sfo, assigned a level off altitude of 5000'. We flew through 5000', and we noticed it at the exact moment the controller did, which was as we passed through 5300'. Immediately initiated descent back to 5000'; never exceeded 5400' at any time.

Title: ALT OVERSHOT IN CLIMB BY FLC OF LTT.
Narrative: CLBING OUT AT SFO, ASSIGNED A LEVEL OFF ALT OF 5000'. WE FLEW THROUGH 5000', AND WE NOTICED IT AT THE EXACT MOMENT THE CTLR DID, WHICH WAS AS WE PASSED THROUGH 5300'. IMMEDIATELY INITIATED DSNT BACK TO 5000'; NEVER EXCEEDED 5400' AT ANY TIME.
