Narrative:
I was private pilot acting as PIC on an IFR training flight. I was flying under the hood with an instrument pilot in the aircraft with me. I had been cleared for and was executing an ILS approach to runway 8R to sus. Approximately 2 mi from the decision point I received missed approach instructions to turn left and fly between the parallel runways when 1 mi from the runway. My instrument operated the radio and asked if we 'could take it to the middle worker.' the tower controller apparently understood her to say that we were continuing to the MM. After I executed the missed approach, I was instructed to contact the tower on 120.3. In the confusion of the turn and missed approach, I misdialed the radio to 126.3 (the frequency of 3s7 tower). Less than 1 min expired when I realized my mistake and corrected the frequency selection and contacted the sus tower. I discussed my mistake with the controller in question after landing.

Title: APCH MISUNDERSTOOD A REQUEST AS A STATEMENT OF INTENT AND THOUGHT SMA WAS REFUSING TO COMPLY WITH A CLRNC.
Narrative: I WAS PVT PLT ACTING AS PIC ON AN IFR TRNING FLT. I WAS FLYING UNDER THE HOOD WITH AN INSTR PLT IN THE ACFT WITH ME. I HAD BEEN CLRED FOR AND WAS EXECUTING AN ILS APCH TO RWY 8R TO SUS. APPROX 2 MI FROM THE DECISION POINT I RECEIVED MISSED APCH INSTRUCTIONS TO TURN LEFT AND FLY BTWN THE PARALLEL RWYS WHEN 1 MI FROM THE RWY. MY INSTR OPERATED THE RADIO AND ASKED IF WE 'COULD TAKE IT TO THE MIDDLE WORKER.' THE TWR CTLR APPARENTLY UNDERSTOOD HER TO SAY THAT WE WERE CONTINUING TO THE MM. AFTER I EXECUTED THE MISSED APCH, I WAS INSTRUCTED TO CONTACT THE TWR ON 120.3. IN THE CONFUSION OF THE TURN AND MISSED APCH, I MISDIALED THE RADIO TO 126.3 (THE FREQ OF 3S7 TWR). LESS THAN 1 MIN EXPIRED WHEN I REALIZED MY MISTAKE AND CORRECTED THE FREQ SELECTION AND CONTACTED THE SUS TWR. I DISCUSSED MY MISTAKE WITH THE CTLR IN QUESTION AFTER LNDG.
