Narrative:
Approaching midway on a 360 degree heading I was cleared to land runway 31R (after tower first assigned me 31C, which I did not hear). As I turn final a large jet previously holding short moves onto my intended landing spot. (Since my previous flight the runways have been renamed from 31L to 31C and have been repainted). With my limited experience I instantly assume that I am not cleared for runway 31R, but rather for the other or that the other, which is now 31C, is really runway 31R. After a moment of descending onto 31C, I resolve the situation runway 31R is still runway 31R, and the jet is not moving, and I am in danger of colliding with craft cleared for runway 31C. I hear 'go around, go around now' from the tower, (which was directed to me) but I have an image of a jet going around above me as I infringed on runway 31C! I have a strong urge not to get under the vortices of this imaginary jet, so going around is no option, I add power, flying over the green, and look back, the other jet is nowhere close (the real one on runway 31R) and I settle on runway 31R and quickly get off the runway. Conversation with the ground controller on frequency of the controller determined that they thought I was about to collide with the jet, hence their go around command to me, as they saw the jet move.

Narrative: APCHING MIDWAY ON A 360 DEG HDG I WAS CLRED TO LAND RWY 31R (AFTER TWR FIRST ASSIGNED ME 31C, WHICH I DID NOT HEAR). AS I TURN FINAL A LARGE JET PREVIOUSLY HOLDING SHORT MOVES ONTO MY INTENDED LNDG SPOT. (SINCE MY PREVIOUS FLT THE RWYS HAVE BEEN RENAMED FROM 31L TO 31C AND HAVE BEEN REPAINTED). WITH MY LIMITED EXPERIENCE I INSTANTLY ASSUME THAT I AM NOT CLRED FOR RWY 31R, BUT RATHER FOR THE OTHER OR THAT THE OTHER, WHICH IS NOW 31C, IS REALLY RWY 31R. AFTER A MOMENT OF DSNDING ONTO 31C, I RESOLVE THE SITUATION RWY 31R IS STILL RWY 31R, AND THE JET IS NOT MOVING, AND I AM IN DANGER OF COLLIDING WITH CRAFT CLRED FOR RWY 31C. I HEAR 'GO AROUND, GO AROUND NOW' FROM THE TWR, (WHICH WAS DIRECTED TO ME) BUT I HAVE AN IMAGE OF A JET GOING AROUND ABOVE ME AS I INFRINGED ON RWY 31C!
