Narrative:
After transitioning nwbnd through the los angeles special flight rules area at 4500', burbank approach was contacted to obtain flight following west of the burbank arsa. While monitoring the lax 305 degree radial and tracking east of the los angeles TCA, burbank approach advised we were in radar contact, further adding that we were west of the 305 degree radial and in the TCA. As our course was rechked and confirmed as being east of the TCA boundary, burbank advised a descent to 4000'. No course deviation was required by burbank approach as moments later, we were advised to resume own navigation, squawk 1200 and contact pt mugu approach for further flight following.
