Narrative:
After landing; the ramp agent notified us that the wheel chair that was on board happened to be an electric one with the batteries still connected. Our gom (general operations manual) mentions that they are not allowed because of size and weight; the one we had on board was 45 [pounds]; we are awaiting more information on the model of the wheel chair and the type and size of the batteries; as there are some restrictions to them as well.

Title: Air Taxi Captain reported an electric wheelchair was transported with batteries connected in violation of GOM.
