Received a GPWS aural alert during our descent into roa while complying with tower assigned heading and altitude changes in VMC; while visually clear of all terrain.out of an overabundance of caution; I leveled the wings; increased power; and brought the nose above the horizon; at which point the aural alert immediately subsided.
