Narrative:
On climb out; approximately FL250; ECAM for generator 1 fault. First officer did ECAM and QRH. Generator 1 would not come back online. Started APU. About 3 hours into flight climbing from FL330 to FL350 out of FL336; APU did an auto shutdown. Again; followed ECAM and QRH. Contacted [maintenance] and dispatch. Descended to FL290. Restarted APU. Worked fine but continued as [priority] aircraft as didn't know if it would shut down again. Uneventful landing. Met by fire trucks. Received okay and under ship's power taxied to gate.
