Narrative:
At rotation, #2 engine power decreased slightly (EPR); tower reported fire (flame) and sparks at tailpipe. No cockpit fire warning indication. Throttle retarded, engine remained operational throughout. VFR return to departure runway; fire crew alerted. Two engine landing accomplished; normal landing and taxi in; engine shutdown at runway turn off. No further report of fire or sparks. At rotation, no indication of fluctuating EPR, egt, N1 or N2, only throttle vibration until throttle retarded. Maintenance advised by radio, in person, and written form.
