There is an ongoing issue with the dg (dangerous goods) being counted as bags when scanned. The dg should not be scanned as bags or go into the bag count column; but should have their own line to be scanned under. So as not to have it be confusing to any other ramp agent.

Title: Commercial Airline Ramp Personnel reported on going issue of recording Hazmat items and passenger baggage.
Narrative: There is an ongoing issue with the DG (Dangerous Goods) being counted as bags when scanned. The DG should not be scanned as bags or go into the bag count column; but should have their own line to be scanned under. So as not to have it be confusing to any other Ramp Agent.
