Narrative:
Upon receiving vectors by myrtle beach approach, we were not advised that a monitored gca to runway 35 was being observed as approach cleared us on ILS runway 35 approach. After receiving landing clearance by approach control, we were advised to contact tower as we touched down in a low visibility approach. You can imagine the concern as we were in the landing mode. Tower stated this was normal, but please advised passenger carriers of this when approaching joint civil/military fields.
