Narrative:
I took off from rfd and started to have some kind of low performance. Called rfd and asked to return. Came in on ILS 36 and had to make a missed approach. The tower gave me an ASR approach back to the runway 36 ILS, and when I landed safely, I found fire trucks there.

Title: SMA PLT RETURNS LANDS AFTER ACFT PERFORMANCE DETERIORATES IN IMC WX FACTORS.
Narrative: I TOOK OFF FROM RFD AND STARTED TO HAVE SOME KIND OF LOW PERFORMANCE. CALLED RFD AND ASKED TO RETURN. CAME IN ON ILS 36 AND HAD TO MAKE A MISSED APCH. THE TWR GAVE ME AN ASR APCH BACK TO THE RWY 36 ILS, AND WHEN I LANDED SAFELY, I FOUND FIRE TRUCKS THERE.
