TCAS corrective climb audio and vsi indication of 3000' minimum by green area on vsi. Then followed by radio altimeter blip on display directly below our aircraft. Called center to determine if good indication. Advised fgt traffic climbing below us to FL280. No previous advisory by center given to crew.

Title: ACR MLG IN CRUISE AT FL290 RECEIVED A TCAS WARNING OF TRAFFIC BELOW CONVERGING. TRAFFIC WAS CLEARED TO FL280.
Narrative: TCAS CORRECTIVE CLB AUDIO AND VSI INDICATION OF 3000' MINIMUM BY GREEN AREA ON VSI. THEN FOLLOWED BY RADIO ALTIMETER BLIP ON DISPLAY DIRECTLY BELOW OUR ACFT. CALLED CENTER TO DETERMINE IF GOOD INDICATION. ADVISED FGT TFC CLBING BELOW US TO FL280. NO PREVIOUS ADVISORY BY CENTER GIVEN TO CREW.
