Narrative:
Dispatched with deferred eec's (electronic engine control). After start on both block turn backs (btbs); EICAS message of left engine eec probe; eec probe discreet light and mach probe discreet light. Also had related status message on both btbs.also; not related to btbs; but interesting to note: although manuals have full takeoff power requirement; tlr (thrust lever reading); with eecs deferral noted; show atm power settings. Recommend live calculation for max power takeoff; insuring deferral taken into account. Company informed this date through the incident report.verify maximum power takeoff is indeed a necessary requirement. If so; either live calculate every takeoff or reprogram tlr for this MEL item. Discontinue tlr; using only live calculation until this is resolved.
