Narrative:
Departing oakland 4 SID from runway 30 altitude restriction to not climb above 2;000 until past 4.0 miles on the SID missed during climb. This is depicted in an inset on the chart and not depicted as part of the takeoff path. Just keep in mind for next time advised by tower. It may be helpful if this was in the FMS database as a fix with an altitude as well as part of the depicted path instead of an inset. We usually catch this but obviously it is a potential missed item. Because we did.
