Narrative:
All company policies and procedures were followed correctly. Upon preflight activities; I turned the cabin lights to 'off' and checked the brightness of the photo strips. They were not sufficiently bright to aid in the event of an evacuation especially in the presence of smoke or fire. This is an ongoing problem that has not been adequately addressed to date.

Title: Flight Attendant reported that the photo luminescent strip for emergency exit path lighting are too dim to be of any use in an actual emergency.
Narrative: All company policies and procedures were followed correctly. Upon preflight activities; I turned the cabin lights to 'off' and checked the brightness of the photo strips.
