Narrative:
*One CFI needed an INS proficiency check. The other CFI needed a biennial flight review. They rented an aircraft and planned a 4 leg, 3 stop flight for the INS refresher, then they would switch seats and at third stop give the biennial flight review, thus requalifying each other. A passenger riding along became ill, vomiting and delaying the flight at 2 stops. At third stop passenger remained on ground while the biennial flight review was given. During second leg a navigation error was made and flight was momentarily off course. After third stop and departure for the VFR biennial flight review, the squawk code was not changed. Reporter acknowledges that several flying mistakes were made that day, but to his knowledge, no violation were filed.

Title: 2 CFI PLTS CHECKING EACH OTHER IN SMA ON IFR PLAN DEVIATED FROM CLRNC.
Narrative: *ONE CFI NEEDED AN INS PROFICIENCY CHK. THE OTHER CFI NEEDED A BIENNIAL FLT REVIEW. THEY RENTED AN ACFT AND PLANNED A 4 LEG, 3 STOP FLT FOR THE INS REFRESHER, THEN THEY WOULD SWITCH SEATS AND AT THIRD STOP GIVE THE BIENNIAL FLT REVIEW, THUS REQUALIFYING EACH OTHER. A PAX RIDING ALONG BECAME ILL, VOMITING AND DELAYING THE FLT AT 2 STOPS. AT THIRD STOP PAX REMAINED ON GND WHILE THE BIENNIAL FLT REVIEW WAS GIVEN. DURING SECOND LEG A NAVIGATION ERROR WAS MADE AND FLT WAS MOMENTARILY OFF COURSE. AFTER THIRD STOP AND DEP FOR THE VFR BIENNIAL FLT REVIEW, THE SQUAWK CODE WAS NOT CHANGED. RPTR ACKNOWLEDGES THAT SEVERAL FLYING MISTAKES WERE MADE THAT DAY, BUT TO HIS KNOWLEDGE, NO VIOLATION WERE FILED.
