Narrative:

*One CFI needed an INS proficiency check. The other CFI needed a biennial flight review. They rented an aircraft and planned a 4 leg, 3 stop flight for the INS refresher, then they would switch seats and at third stop give the biennial flight review, thus requalifying each other. A passenger riding along became ill, vomiting and delaying the flight at 2 stops. At third stop passenger remained on ground while the biennial flight review was given. During second leg a navigation error was made and flight was momentarily off course. After third stop and departure for the VFR biennial flight review, the squawk code was not changed. Reporter acknowledges that several flying mistakes were made that day, but to his knowledge, no violation were filed.
