Narrative:
After landing the aircraft the captain took over to taxi to gate. Tower told us to use taxiway V hold short of 21C. I was busy doing after landing flow and asked captain if when he had called in range if they had informed him if the gate had power. He said he didn't ask, so I called on the ground and asked if they had power. All this time I was monitoring tower and attempting to complete the flow minus the APU. About this time while looking at 10-7 page to see if it indicated power for our gate, tower called and said we were on fox, not victor. He then told us to taxi down the center and get on V. The captain still was unclear on what was going on, so I clarified again for him. Factors: it was very dark and dtw has very poor taxiway markings, plus that night a lot of the taxiway lights were out. High workload for me right after landing did not allow me to monitor our taxi closely. I suspect captain's ear piece was cutting out. Suggestion: since the captain has to taxi, he should repeat the taxi clearance to me after I read it back to tower.

Title: AFTER LNDG AT DTW FLT CREW OF MLG TAXIED ON WRONG TXWY.
Narrative: AFTER LNDG THE ACFT THE CAPT TOOK OVER TO TAXI TO GATE. TWR TOLD US TO USE TXWY V HOLD SHORT OF 21C. I WAS BUSY DOING AFTER LNDG FLOW AND ASKED CAPT IF WHEN HE HAD CALLED IN RANGE IF THEY HAD INFORMED HIM IF THE GATE HAD PWR. HE SAID HE DIDN'T ASK, SO I CALLED ON THE GND AND ASKED IF THEY HAD PWR. ALL THIS TIME I WAS MONITORING TWR AND ATTEMPTING TO COMPLETE THE FLOW MINUS THE APU. ABOUT THIS TIME WHILE LOOKING AT 10-7 PAGE TO SEE IF IT INDICATED PWR FOR OUR GATE, TWR CALLED AND SAID WE WERE ON FOX, NOT VICTOR. HE THEN TOLD US TO TAXI DOWN THE CENTER AND GET ON V. THE CAPT STILL WAS UNCLEAR ON WHAT WAS GOING ON, SO I CLARIFIED AGAIN FOR HIM. FACTORS: IT WAS VERY DARK AND DTW HAS VERY POOR TXWY MARKINGS, PLUS THAT NIGHT A LOT OF THE TXWY LIGHTS WERE OUT. HIGH WORKLOAD FOR ME RIGHT AFTER LNDG DID NOT ALLOW ME TO MONITOR OUR TAXI CLOSELY. I SUSPECT CAPT'S EAR PIECE WAS CUTTING OUT. SUGGESTION: SINCE THE CAPT HAS TO TAXI, HE SHOULD REPEAT THE TAXI CLRNC TO ME AFTER I READ IT BACK TO TWR.
