Narrative:
Upon takeoff and after raising the landing gear; we got a down and unlock nose gear warning. After looking at the abnormal checklist; we brought the gear handle down and got an all wheels down and lock annunciation. Almost immediately; a hydraulic volume low a (cas message) appeared. When I looked at the hydraulic gauge for the a system; it read 0 quantity. We completed the abnormal checklist; secured the a hydraulic system and [advised ATC]. We came back to the airport and landed uneventfully; stopping the aircraft on the runway. The fire department as well as an [FBO] tug were standing by and rushed to help once we stopped the aircraft. Fire department checked for excess heat on all brakes and [FBO] towed us back to the ramp.
