Narrative:
Was flying ILS 25 approach to lvk. Circling approach to runways 07L and 07R in use because of east wind. On downwind tower cleared me to land behind another aircraft on short final on what I understood to be 07L. I saw an aircraft on short final to 07L. I read back, 'cleared to land, #2 on 07L.' landing was uneventful. As I cleared runway tower controller informed me that I had been cleared to land on 07R and I had cut off another aircraft. I suppose I heard 07L incorrectly because I was expecting it and saw what I thought was the aircraft I was to follow landing on 07L. Apparently the controller was busy and did not notice my incorrect readback (it was not corrected). Haze limited my detection of other aircraft that may have been in pattern. Conclusion: if any part of clearance not absolutely certain, I should ask for verification, especially on conditions of limited visibility.

Title: GA SMA CIRCLING TO LAND FROM AN ILS APCH TO LVK LANDED ON THE WRONG RWY. CLRNC WAS TO RWY 7R. LANDED ON 7L CUTTING OFF ANOTHER ACFT ON FINAL.
Narrative: WAS FLYING ILS 25 APCH TO LVK. CIRCLING APCH TO RWYS 07L AND 07R IN USE BECAUSE OF E WIND. ON DOWNWIND TWR CLRED ME TO LAND BEHIND ANOTHER ACFT ON SHORT FINAL ON WHAT I UNDERSTOOD TO BE 07L. I SAW AN ACFT ON SHORT FINAL TO 07L. I READ BACK, 'CLRED TO LAND, #2 ON 07L.' LNDG WAS UNEVENTFUL. AS I CLRED RWY TWR CTLR INFORMED ME THAT I HAD BEEN CLRED TO LAND ON 07R AND I HAD CUT OFF ANOTHER ACFT. I SUPPOSE I HEARD 07L INCORRECTLY BECAUSE I WAS EXPECTING IT AND SAW WHAT I THOUGHT WAS THE ACFT I WAS TO FOLLOW LNDG ON 07L. APPARENTLY THE CTLR WAS BUSY AND DID NOT NOTICE MY INCORRECT READBACK (IT WAS NOT CORRECTED). HAZE LIMITED MY DETECTION OF OTHER ACFT THAT MAY HAVE BEEN IN PATTERN. CONCLUSION: IF ANY PART OF CLRNC NOT ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN, I SHOULD ASK FOR VERIFICATION, ESPECIALLY ON CONDITIONS OF LIMITED VISIBILITY.
