Narrative:

When we taxi close to the gate; I transferred the bleeds to the APU from the engine. After doing that; I noticed some smoke and wet socks smell coming out of the vents in the cockpit. We continued taxied to the gate since we were so close to it. After determining that it was a fume event; we called maintenance and they deferred the APU. No further actions taken. Cause: transferring bleeds from engines to APU.
