Narrative:

[Company] recent updates to multiple it platforms has become counterproductive and somewhat demoralizing to the pilot group. I have tried multiple strategies and have finally just given up keeping up with anything new provided by [company].in the past I updated [software] daily and when something 'new' arrived it would be in 'bold' until you clicked on it. At that time I would make it as a favorite until I read it in its entirety. I would make sure all my favorites including FM/fom updates were read in full the night before each trip. This may have taken a couple of hours; but I felt this was what a professional pilot should do. I was always up to date on everything and took pride in being that way.this new [software] has broken me to the point I have given up. There is no 'all content' tab. You need to search various folders and you need to remember if you read it in the past or what date you read it in case it was updated the next day with changes; because the 'new' label does not go away once you read it.they should have learned their lesson when they redid the [software] and you cannot get rid of the new tab once you read one of them. I personally do not even check to read those anymore now. I know they keep track of the opening and reading of those and can see there is a huge decline. I cannot remember if I read it or not because there is so much information coming out at us weekly. If I read everything; which I honestly did before each trip it usually took close to 4 hours week. But most importantly; the only way I could keep track is the new tab for which I would download it and then read it. Once I was done I removed it and it no longer had the 'new' and tab label. I have spoken with my captains and they had the exact same comments. The difference is they do not care enough to waste their time reporting it. As one captain told me; when it came to [software]. 'Hopefully; you first officers are filtering through it; so you can tell me what's going on. Because I am too old to figure that out.'the company may have improved training and communications at the ftc (let's give them credit; they have done a great job there) but they have completely dropped the ball on training and communications we have on the ipad. I do not care to hear them say apple tied their hands. The facts are the people involved and testing it obviously were not pilots that use it weekly or daily. Our time is limited and if you make something too hard and annoying; we just stop opening it.
