Narrative:

During our preflight check we verified the [maintenance release]; the ETOPS check and verified the time; date and station. We also verified the [maintenance release] via the ACARS. We pushed back at XA50 and took off at XB04. During climb we received an ACARS message at XB21 stating do not take off; new [maintenance release] needed. [Maintenance release] ZZZ 01 / XB21 needs to be replaced prior to push back or take off; if already pushed contact [technical support maintenance control] for new [maintenance release]. We contacted [technical support maintenance control]. [Technical support maintenance control] said there was an electronic logbook software glitch that has been creating these messages. He said we are okay to continue. I just wanted to report the problem to ensure it is addressed.
