Narrative:
During vectors for approach; crew was advised they were 7 nm in trail of a B737. Prior to the FAF; encountered a sharp roll left; followed by roll right to a 90 degree angle. Altitude loss was less than 300 feet. Crew recovered aircraft to assigned altitude; advised ATC of severe turbulence encounter; and continued a normal approach to landing. Subsequent inspection by maintenance determined no airframe damage.
