Narrative:
Cleared to expect runway xxl at B. Holding short at B cleared to cross xxl and expect further clearance on the other side. After crossing xxl told to cross xyr and hold short xxr. This was the very first flight for my first officer (first officer) [and] he was having a little difficulty changing the runway on the G3000 so we were talking and I was talking him through the change. While trying to change the runway we were given instructions to line up and wait xxr I believe. I heard right and mistakenly turned right and had just crossed the hold short line and was looking at traffic on final and because of the gusty winds couldn't tell for sure which runway he was lined up for so I stopped. I was about 15 feet past the hold short line and stopped when tower told us to hold our position [and] then asked if we could make a 180. I did and realized the error. We were then re-cleared to hold short of xxr.in retrospect I should have told tower we weren't ready when they cleared us to 'line up and wait.' I also should have double checked the clearance because we were talking about the runway change and partially blocked the transmission from the tower.
