Narrative:
Test flight for brand new navigation-communication (and new LORAN) ended flight with touch and go at bkl. Radio jammed in the transmit position, blocking all radio traffic from time of adding power for takeoff phase of touch and go. On downwind, I noticed transmitter problem. Transmitted intentions blind. Tried to turn radio off and get a landing clearance by light gun. Got clearance, landed. Told to call tower. Tower told me that, while my radio jammed radio frequency 124.3, an small aircraft Y landed on parallel taxiway, due to blinding sunset. Tower upset at my jamming the frequency, and worst and all, heard me signing on downwind. When alone, having fun, I sometimes sing (poorly). I don't know status of maintenance log books following new radio installation. Morale of incident: good thing it was VFR. Never fly actual IFR with new radios.

Title: GA PLT ON TEST FLT WITH NEW RADIOS EXPERIENCES STUCK MICROPHONE. INCIDENT CONTRIBUTES TO ANOTHER GA SMA LNDG ON TXWY. TWR UNABLE TO INTERVENE.
Narrative: TEST FLT FOR BRAND NEW NAV-COM (AND NEW LORAN) ENDED FLT WITH TOUCH AND GO AT BKL. RADIO JAMMED IN THE XMIT POS, BLOCKING ALL RADIO TFC FROM TIME OF ADDING PWR FOR TKOF PHASE OF TOUCH AND GO. ON DOWNWIND, I NOTICED XMITTER PROB. XMITTED INTENTIONS BLIND. TRIED TO TURN RADIO OFF AND GET A LNDG CLRNC BY LIGHT GUN. GOT CLRNC, LANDED. TOLD TO CALL TWR. TWR TOLD ME THAT, WHILE MY RADIO JAMMED RADIO FREQ 124.3, AN SMA Y LANDED ON PARALLEL TXWY, DUE TO BLINDING SUNSET. TWR UPSET AT MY JAMMING THE FREQ, AND WORST AND ALL, HEARD ME SIGNING ON DOWNWIND. WHEN ALONE, HAVING FUN, I SOMETIMES SING (POORLY). I DON'T KNOW STATUS OF MAINT LOG BOOKS FOLLOWING NEW RADIO INSTALLATION. MORALE OF INCIDENT: GOOD THING IT WAS VFR.
