Narrative:
While stowing the captain's oxygen mask after a restroom break the oxygen hose broke off the mask. I was able to put a crimp in the hose to avoid losing all the cockpit system oxygen. After consulting with dispatch and maintenance control; we decided to swap out the second observers oxygen mask with the defective captain's mask. We watched the oxygen system level the rest of the flight and it was sufficient. We landed with 1;500 psi of oxygen.
