Narrative:
After takeoff; I raised the gear lever; but the gear did not retract. We had a lgciu 1 & 2 failure on the ECAM. We followed our ECAM procedures and after talking with maintenance and dispatch we returned to ZZZ. We made a precautionary landing with fire and rescue standing by. Landing was normal no further incident.

Title: A321 Captain reported that the landing gear would not retract during climb; resulting in a return to the departure airport.
Narrative: After takeoff; I raised the gear lever; but the gear did not retract. We had a LGCIU 1 & 2 Failure on the ECAM.
