Narrative:
A mechanic and I, were sent to retrieve aircraft from the gate area. We performed our walk around and engine starts. Everything was satisfactory. I gave the go ahead to contact ground control. They told us to taxi to wf, take a left on wa and to take the first diagonal and hold short of runway 14L. Following ground instructions placed us on wg. We then received word from ground to not delay, expedite crossing. We were checking for clrncs as I brought up the power levers to comply with ground controls request. We were approaching runway 14L, when I realized we had more than enough speed to comply with ground control's instructions. I was trying to slow the aircraft down enough to make the right turn. We then went off the runway and got stuck in the mud. I shut the aircraft down and went out to see what I could do to extract the aircraft from the mud. That is when I noticed the damage to the left engine and propeller, also the fuselage. Later an airport operations personnel informed me that they have had previous trouble with that turn at wg and 14L. I feel more airport familiarization is in order for everybody taxiing to prevent this from happening again.

Title: CAPT AND MECHANIC RAN AN ACFT OFF THE RWY TAXIING FROM GATE AREA TO HANGER.
Narrative: A MECH AND I, WERE SENT TO RETRIEVE ACFT FROM THE GATE AREA. WE PERFORMED OUR WALK AROUND AND ENG STARTS. EVERYTHING WAS SATISFACTORY. I GAVE THE GO AHEAD TO CONTACT GND CTL. THEY TOLD US TO TAXI TO WF, TAKE A L ON WA AND TO TAKE THE FIRST DIAGONAL AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 14L. FOLLOWING GND INSTRUCTIONS PLACED US ON WG. WE THEN RECEIVED WORD FROM GND TO NOT DELAY, EXPEDITE XING. WE WERE CHKING FOR CLRNCS AS I BROUGHT UP THE PWR LEVERS TO COMPLY WITH GND CTLS REQUEST. WE WERE APCHING RWY 14L, WHEN I REALIZED WE HAD MORE THAN ENOUGH SPD TO COMPLY WITH GND CTL'S INSTRUCTIONS. I WAS TRYING TO SLOW THE ACFT DOWN ENOUGH TO MAKE THE R TURN. WE THEN WENT OFF THE RWY AND GOT STUCK IN THE MUD. I SHUT THE ACFT DOWN AND WENT OUT TO SEE WHAT I COULD DO TO EXTRACT THE ACFT FROM THE MUD. THAT IS WHEN I NOTICED THE DAMAGE TO THE L ENG AND PROP, ALSO THE FUSELAGE. LATER AN ARPT OPS PERSONNEL INFORMED ME THAT THEY HAVE HAD PREVIOUS TROUBLE WITH THAT TURN AT WG AND 14L. I FEEL MORE ARPT FAMILIARIZATION IS IN ORDER FOR EVERYBODY TAXIING TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING AGAIN.
