Narrative:
Auto fail light illuminated on the cabin pressurization controller. The alternate system for cabin pressurization controller did not engage. Landing alt and flight alt windows displayed 5 dashes. Cabin altitude was increasing. Selected manual to regain control of cabin. Advised ATC and requested immediate descent to 10;000 feet. Was able to regain control of the cabin with manual control and proceeded to and landed normally in ZZZZ.about 30 miles or so from ZZZ all smoke alarms sounded. We had no indication of any smoke or fire. Emergency vehicles met us on landing and one followed us to gate xx. Passengers deplaned normally. All faults entered into the elb (electronic logbook). This was not a rapid depressurization and no masks were deployed.
