Narrative:
1 hour after takeoff second officer advised that the #2 engine was losing oil was diverted to ord. Original destination was den. After landing maintenance found a cracked housing on the oil quantity transmitter. Supplemental information from acn 172530: engine was not shut down. All engine instruments were normal.

Title: ACR LGT DEVELOPED AN OIL LEAK AT CRUISE ALT AND DIVERTED TO AN ALTERNATE FOR MAINTENANCE CHECK.
Narrative: 1 HR AFTER TKOF S/O ADVISED THAT THE #2 ENG WAS LOSING OIL WAS DIVERTED TO ORD. ORIGINAL DEST WAS DEN. AFTER LNDG MAINT FOUND A CRACKED HOUSING ON THE OIL QUANTITY XMITTER. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 172530: ENG WAS NOT SHUT DOWN. ALL ENG INSTRUMENTS WERE NORMAL.
