Narrative:
Returning to bet calling bet radio for advisory, they said WX was to be low VFR minimums and I would need a SVFR clearance before entering control zone, so I stopped out of the zone until I received my clearance. I entered the zone direct toward the airport and landed when I saw the runway, ending the flight. I had an INS competency check within 6 months and the aircraft is IFR equipped, as required in 91.205, but was not current. The next time that I fly at night I'll make sure the best I can that the airport will be at least VFR, and if not, consider cancelling the flight and/or making sure aircraft is IFR current.
