Narrative:
Entered airport traffic from west at 1000' AGL by midfield crossing to right hand downwind for runway 35. Flew normal pattern. Announced position prior to midfield crossing, on downwind, on base, turning final on 122.80 per the CTAF. As I descended toward runway a twin small aircraft flew underneath me and landed. I executed a climbing left 360 degree turn. Announced it on CTAF. As I reentered final the twin was turning off far engine of runway and taxied to parking somewhere at the south side of the parking area. My guess is the twin made a straight in and guessed he could beat me to the runway. He was only 50' or so off the ground as he passed under me. He took the entire length to stop. He didn't make the midpoint turn off. The wind was 18 gusty 25, so he must have been going 'extra fast'. If I had continued my approach I don't think we would have hit. I would have just been very close behind him on landing. I chose the 360 degree for adequate spacing. I did not get the 'north' number of the twin.

Title: PLT OF SMA HAD NMAC WITH SMA TWIN ON SHORT FINAL AT UNCONTROLLED ARPT.
Narrative: ENTERED ARPT TFC FROM W AT 1000' AGL BY MIDFIELD XING TO R HAND DOWNWIND FOR RWY 35. FLEW NORMAL PATTERN. ANNOUNCED POS PRIOR TO MIDFIELD XING, ON DOWNWIND, ON BASE, TURNING FINAL ON 122.80 PER THE CTAF. AS I DSNDED TOWARD RWY A TWIN SMA FLEW UNDERNEATH ME AND LANDED. I EXECUTED A CLBING L 360 DEG TURN. ANNOUNCED IT ON CTAF. AS I REENTERED FINAL THE TWIN WAS TURNING OFF FAR ENG OF RWY AND TAXIED TO PARKING SOMEWHERE AT THE S SIDE OF THE PARKING AREA. MY GUESS IS THE TWIN MADE A STRAIGHT IN AND GUESSED HE COULD BEAT ME TO THE RWY. HE WAS ONLY 50' OR SO OFF THE GND AS HE PASSED UNDER ME. HE TOOK THE ENTIRE LENGTH TO STOP. HE DIDN'T MAKE THE MIDPOINT TURN OFF. THE WIND WAS 18 GUSTY 25, SO HE MUST HAVE BEEN GOING 'EXTRA FAST'. IF I HAD CONTINUED MY APCH I DON'T THINK WE WOULD HAVE HIT.
