Narrative:

Weather was above minimums; and I had the airport in sight through rain on the windscreen. Comparing my ground speed and airspeed I decided a straight-in on 22 was preferable to circling over the runway. Due to the rain on the windscreen I flew a higher approach to avoid the embankment on the approach end. I touched down around; maybe a bit after; the first third of the runway; and initiated maximum braking procedures. I failed to initiate a go-around when I noticed the tailwind component on the ground was more than it had been on final. I ended up going over the runway end at 5-15 knots.
