Narrative:
After takeoff on climbout; I noticed the right alternator was now indicating 0 amps. Tested the functionality by switching on windshield de-ice and noted a 25 amp increase on the left alt; and the right alt was still indicating 0 amps. Returned to land ZZZ without issue.

Title: Cessna 402 Captain reported an air turnback after failure of the right hand alternator.
Narrative: After takeoff on climbout; I noticed the right alternator was now indicating 0 Amps. Tested the functionality by switching on windshield de-ice and noted a 25 amp increase on the Left Alt; and the Right alt was still indicating 0 Amps. Returned to land ZZZ without issue.
