Narrative:
During approach to mkk on a revenue flight at pm:00 local, 4/wed/91, I observed an unsafe gear indication for my right main landing gear on the small transport twin I was flying (no green light for that gear). I checked the bulb and it was ok. I then advised the tower of my difficulty and with their approval executed a fly-by so they could inspect the gear. They said it appeared to be down. Still not satisfied as to the gears being locked, I advised tower I would depart to the northwest and cycle the gear again, which I did, both electronically and then manually to the stops. Still no green lights for the right main gear. I called the tower and asked them to call my operations base to advise me where they desired that I land. I was instructed to land at mkk, which I did west/O incident. I did not declare an emergency, as there was no immediate danger. It turned out that a wire leading to the microswitch on the affected gear was broken.
