Narrative:
Upon post flight inspection I noticed three boxes of hazmat (biological substance; and dry ice) on the belt loader. I asked the ground crew if they were about to load the boxes and they reported to me that they had just unloaded the boxes from the airplane we just flew in. We hadn't been informed that there was any hazmat on board; and didn't receive a notoc. I notified my supervisor. Hazmat was loaded onto our aircraft without our knowledge. Ensure that the ground crew always notifies the captain of hazmat aboard.
