Narrative:
After an uneventful flight from portland, or, I arrived over martin field. With the help of the 3/4 moon, I spotted the field and circled 4 times, 1000' above tpa, allowing my eyes to adjust and orienting myself. Being very familiar with the field, I descended to tpa and flew full pattern with a low approach to confirm the runway was safe. I flew another traffic pattern at tpa and landed uneventfully, turning off at the midfield intersection. After landing, multiple emergency vehs arrived with reports of a crashed aircraft. After dropping off a passenger, I departed martin field and landed at walla walla city/county airport where the aircraft is based. In retrospect, I should not land at an airport west/O runway lights at night and I should use better judgement in noise abatement procedures.

Title: SMA LANDS AT NIGHT ON ARPT WITH NO RWY LIGHTS.
Narrative: AFTER AN UNEVENTFUL FLT FROM PORTLAND, OR, I ARRIVED OVER MARTIN FIELD. WITH THE HELP OF THE 3/4 MOON, I SPOTTED THE FIELD AND CIRCLED 4 TIMES, 1000' ABOVE TPA, ALLOWING MY EYES TO ADJUST AND ORIENTING MYSELF. BEING VERY FAMILIAR WITH THE FIELD, I DSNDED TO TPA AND FLEW FULL PATTERN WITH A LOW APCH TO CONFIRM THE RWY WAS SAFE. I FLEW ANOTHER TFC PATTERN AT TPA AND LANDED UNEVENTFULLY, TURNING OFF AT THE MIDFIELD INTXN. AFTER LNDG, MULTIPLE EMER VEHS ARRIVED WITH RPTS OF A CRASHED ACFT. AFTER DROPPING OFF A PAX, I DEPARTED MARTIN FIELD AND LANDED AT WALLA WALLA CITY/COUNTY ARPT WHERE THE ACFT IS BASED. IN RETROSPECT, I SHOULD NOT LAND AT AN ARPT W/O RWY LIGHTS AT NIGHT AND I SHOULD USE BETTER JUDGEMENT IN NOISE ABATEMENT PROCS.
