Narrative:
In the turn from base to final; the captain and I discussed the probability of the egpws sounding off due to the fact of the terrain we were about to fly near. ATC asked if we seen the terrain and we responded yes. The egpws went off and we continued to the airport with no danger to the aircraft since we maintained visual separation with the terrain and aircraft. I should have turned earlier onto final and maintain a few hundred feet more of altitude on base to final.
