Narrative:
We had been navigating by LORAN from mie to RVV direct when we approached R503A. Approximately 20 NM northeast of cvg we tuned in yrk VOR and proceeded direct. We were then approached by one or more fgt aircraft who made several turns about our aircraft. Eventually approaching our right wing and flying close formation for several min. We made a slight turn to the south at which time the remaining fgt broke off and was never seen again. We then contacted indianapolis center who informed us that we may have violated R-5503A west/O clearance. At this time, we had no indication either by VOR or LORAN that we had in fact entered R-5503A.

Narrative: WE HAD BEEN NAVIGATING BY LORAN FROM MIE TO RVV DIRECT WHEN WE APCHED R503A. APPROX 20 NM NE OF CVG WE TUNED IN YRK VOR AND PROCEEDED DIRECT. WE WERE THEN APCHED BY ONE OR MORE FGT ACFT WHO MADE SEVERAL TURNS ABOUT OUR ACFT. EVENTUALLY APCHING OUR R WING AND FLYING CLOSE FORMATION FOR SEVERAL MIN. WE MADE A SLIGHT TURN TO THE S AT WHICH TIME THE REMAINING FGT BROKE OFF AND WAS NEVER SEEN AGAIN. WE THEN CONTACTED INDIANAPOLIS CTR WHO INFORMED US THAT WE MAY HAVE VIOLATED R-5503A W/O CLRNC. AT THIS TIME, WE HAD NO INDICATION EITHER BY VOR OR LORAN THAT WE HAD IN FACT ENTERED R-5503A.
