Narrative:
Was approaching the aylmer VOR on about a 285 degree heading. The captain had the flight plan and I tried to ask him what our route was after aylmer VOR. A F/a was in the cockpit insisting that the captain radio ahead to dtw about passenger connections since we were late. Every time the captain tried to answer my question the F/a interrupted. She was so into her 'problem' she didn't seem to care that I had a more urgent need. By this time we were at least 10 mi past aylmer and cle center came onto the radio and gave us radar vectors onto the correct right off aylmer VOR (which was the 269 right called V464). It was no problem, just embarrassing to have center tell you that you are starting to go off in the wrong direction. We should have handled it by not being nice guys and telling her in a loud voice to 'shut up, we are trying to fly the plane'!
