Narrative:
Due to showers/trw in local area, I made the landing announcement approximately 30 NM from airport so F/a's would be seated before entering shower activity. As per usual, I ensured they heard the announcement by monitoring the PA until I heard the beginning of the landing announcement. Upon landing (actually after parking) I was informed by the senior cabin attendant that a 10-11 yr old girl was in the lav for landing. The ride in wasn't really bad at all and the girl was unhurt. She must have spent an interesting 10-12 mins wondering when we would T/D. She told the F/as she'd heard their landing announcement and assumed we were about to T/D, so she was afraid to get out and go to her seat.
