Narrative:
I was allowing an acquaintance to land the aircraft as I followed on the controls. I had previously flown with the individual many hours as an instrument and came to respect his ability and judgement. Thus I remained very relaxed until I observed his stress just prior to T/D. As we touched the runway, he immediately applied full power instead of brakes as I had anticipated. In my attempt to complete the go around toward rising terrain and runway, it became evident that obstructions could not be cleared. Therefore I reduced power for a gear up landing. (Note: there was insufficient time to relower gear and brake prior to obstructions.) callback conversation with reporter revealed the following: after hard landing and bounce, person flying started go around. Reporter retracted landing gear and took controls. As he increased rotation, the tailskid started dragging and he felt the aircraft would not clear obstructions. He elected to close the throttle and land on runway. Aircraft stayed on runway and minor damage has already been repaired. He gave experience and ratings of person flying.

Title: AFTER BOTCHED LNDG ATTEMPT, A GO AROUND IS ATTEMPTED BUT ABORTED AFTER LNDG GEAR IS RAISED.
Narrative: I WAS ALLOWING AN ACQUAINTANCE TO LAND THE ACFT AS I FOLLOWED ON THE CTLS. I HAD PREVIOUSLY FLOWN WITH THE INDIVIDUAL MANY HRS AS AN INSTR AND CAME TO RESPECT HIS ABILITY AND JUDGEMENT. THUS I REMAINED VERY RELAXED UNTIL I OBSERVED HIS STRESS JUST PRIOR TO T/D. AS WE TOUCHED THE RWY, HE IMMEDIATELY APPLIED FULL PWR INSTEAD OF BRAKES AS I HAD ANTICIPATED. IN MY ATTEMPT TO COMPLETE THE GAR TOWARD RISING TERRAIN AND RWY, IT BECAME EVIDENT THAT OBSTRUCTIONS COULD NOT BE CLRED. THEREFORE I REDUCED PWR FOR A GEAR UP LNDG. (NOTE: THERE WAS INSUFFICIENT TIME TO RELOWER GEAR AND BRAKE PRIOR TO OBSTRUCTIONS.) CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING: AFTER HARD LNDG AND BOUNCE, PERSON FLYING STARTED GAR. RPTR RETRACTED LNDG GEAR AND TOOK CTLS. AS HE INCREASED ROTATION, THE TAILSKID STARTED DRAGGING AND HE FELT THE ACFT WOULD NOT CLR OBSTRUCTIONS. HE ELECTED TO CLOSE THE THROTTLE AND LAND ON RWY. ACFT STAYED ON RWY AND MINOR DAMAGE HAS ALREADY BEEN REPAIRED. HE GAVE EXPERIENCE AND RATINGS OF PERSON FLYING.
