Narrative:

Air carrier X was given instructions from the ground controller to 'taxi to 11L' from our ramp area, noting the controller at the time was in a hurry issuing instructions to other aircraft. The instructions 'taxi to 11L' included crossing an intersection runway as we taxied parallel to the active runway. Approaching the intersecting runway I called 'clear left', and then waited to hear 'clear right' from the first officer. He responded, aircraft Y short final. I immediately applied the brakes bringing the aircraft to a stop just past the hold short line for 4-22 the intersecting runway. The first officer queried the controller as to our instructions to taxi across the runway, the controller responded that we were cleared to cross and then complimented crew on 'having a good eye'. After conflicting aircraft landed as instructed, we proceeded to cross the intersecting runway as instructed. Supplemental information from acn 179137: just prior to crossing runway 4-22 the captain looked left and called 'clear left'. I looked to the right and saw an aircraft turning a very tight short final for runway 22 and I called 'stop, there is an aircraft on short final'! The captain immediately applied the brakes and stopped, but we were already just over the hold short lines. I asked the controller if we were meant to hold short and 'what was the deal here'. Controller sounded a little confused and said 'that's ok, just hold short there'. 'The landing aircraft was a last minute change to that runway, sorry'. 'Thank you for having a good eye sir'. He then told us to cross the runway and continue the taxi.

Title: ACR X HAD LTSS FROM ACFT Y. SYS ERROR.

Narrative: ACR X WAS GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE GND CTLR TO 'TAXI TO 11L' FROM OUR RAMP AREA, NOTING THE CTLR AT THE TIME WAS IN A HURRY ISSUING INSTRUCTIONS TO OTHER ACFT. THE INSTRUCTIONS 'TAXI TO 11L' INCLUDED XING AN INTXN RWY AS WE TAXIED PARALLEL TO THE ACTIVE RWY. APCHING THE INTERSECTING RWY I CALLED 'CLEAR L', AND THEN WAITED TO HEAR 'CLEAR R' FROM THE FO. HE RESPONDED, ACFT Y SHORT FINAL. I IMMEDIATELY APPLIED THE BRAKES BRINGING THE ACFT TO A STOP JUST PAST THE HOLD SHORT LINE FOR 4-22 THE INTERSECTING RWY. THE FO QUERIED THE CTLR AS TO OUR INSTRUCTIONS TO TAXI ACROSS THE RWY, THE CTLR RESPONDED THAT WE WERE CLRED TO CROSS AND THEN COMPLIMENTED CREW ON 'HAVING A GOOD EYE'. AFTER CONFLICTING ACFT LANDED AS INSTRUCTED, WE PROCEEDED TO CROSS THE INTERSECTING RWY AS INSTRUCTED. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 179137: JUST PRIOR TO XING RWY 4-22 THE CAPT LOOKED L AND CALLED 'CLEAR L'. I LOOKED TO THE R AND SAW AN ACFT TURNING A VERY TIGHT SHORT FINAL FOR RWY 22 AND I CALLED 'STOP, THERE IS AN ACFT ON SHORT FINAL'! THE CAPT IMMEDIATELY APPLIED THE BRAKES AND STOPPED, BUT WE WERE ALREADY JUST OVER THE HOLD SHORT LINES. I ASKED THE CTLR IF WE WERE MEANT TO HOLD SHORT AND 'WHAT WAS THE DEAL HERE'. CTLR SOUNDED A LITTLE CONFUSED AND SAID 'THAT'S OK, JUST HOLD SHORT THERE'. 'THE LNDG ACFT WAS A LAST MINUTE CHANGE TO THAT RWY, SORRY'. 'THANK YOU FOR HAVING A GOOD EYE SIR'. HE THEN TOLD US TO CROSS THE RWY AND CONTINUE THE TAXI.
