Narrative:
During a turnaround at atl of an airlines cargo flight, an FAA aviation safety inspector visited our aircraft and requested to see flight crew medical certificates and licenses. I accidentally forgot my newly issued license (temporary airman certificate). All other certificates were in order. The FAA inspector did not allow me to continue my flight duties as first officer since the original license was not in my possession. The company offered to facsimile a copy of my license to the FAA inspector, but that was not acceptable. At noon the next day after returning to dsm, I showed my license to the local FAA flight standards office, who faxed a copy to the FAA inspector in stl. Then told me that I would receive a warning letter and no violation. The warning letter has been received and stated that the letter would be made a matter of record for a period of 2 yrs, after which the record of the matter would be expunged.

Title: AIRLINE FO IS CAUGHT BY ACI WITHOUT HIS LICENSE IN HIS POSSESSION.
Narrative: DURING A TURNAROUND AT ATL OF AN AIRLINES CARGO FLT, AN FAA AVIATION SAFETY INSPECTOR VISITED OUR ACFT AND REQUESTED TO SEE FLT CREW MEDICAL CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES. I ACCIDENTALLY FORGOT MY NEWLY ISSUED LICENSE (TEMPORARY AIRMAN CERTIFICATE). ALL OTHER CERTIFICATES WERE IN ORDER. THE FAA INSPECTOR DID NOT ALLOW ME TO CONTINUE MY FLT DUTIES AS F/O SINCE THE ORIGINAL LICENSE WAS NOT IN MY POSSESSION. THE COMPANY OFFERED TO FAX A COPY OF MY LICENSE TO THE FAA INSPECTOR, BUT THAT WAS NOT ACCEPTABLE. AT NOON THE NEXT DAY AFTER RETURNING TO DSM, I SHOWED MY LICENSE TO THE LCL FAA FLT STANDARDS OFFICE, WHO FAXED A COPY TO THE FAA INSPECTOR IN STL.
